During their daily commutes, firefighters  hopped off their engines at hundreds of intersections asking passing drivers to  help to fill their boots with spare change.All the proceeds go to Burn Institute Fire” funding their prevention education programs and burn survivor support programs. The boot drive is the Burn Institute’s largest one day fundraiser of the year.Last year it brought in more than $200,000.
