This New Attack on Titan Transformation Is the Stuff of Nightmares

first_img Attack on Titan is known for routinely showcasing some of the weirdest monsters and grotesque visuals in anime. Its Titans are especially nasty, and if you were complicit in thinking it was all about over-the-top weirdness for the massive creatures, you might want to think again.Attack on Titan is currently in season 3, and it’s been chugging along rather nicely. Beware of spoilers in the coming text, but if you’re all caught up, this is totally fair game. There’s been some recent, awful developments in the land of Titans, mostly involving the character Rod Reiss. Rod, well, he decided he was going to try and become a Titan since his daughter Historia wasn’t interested in doing so.In a bid to defeat Eren, the character whose head everyone wants all of a sudden, Reiss decides he’s going to take the serum that will transform him into a Titan, but it doesn’t exactly work out. He turns into a nasty, misshapen Titan with an enormous body but malformed legs, disgusting, paper-thin skin, and other deformities. For one thing, he has no face with an exposed brain. He also produces an incredibly amount of heat and steam. His long limbs are basically useless, since he has to crawl everywhere. It’s some serious nightmare fuel, especially if you’re still afraid of some of those Titans’ weird manga-esque faces. So if you’re planning on watching more of the show (or aren’t all the way caught up with the series but have read the manga) just wait. You’re in for a real treat, dear readers. It’s going to get even better from here on out, too. No series currently running does body horror just as good as this one, and we can’t wait to see the direction it takes next. More screwed-up Titan transformations, please!Watch this weird Attack on Titan Noodle commercial. Read up on the latest mobile game from the franchise. And find out what inspired the show’s creator.
